German Electric Car Sales Fell 23% in May

According to foreign media reports, in May, the number of new passenger car registrations in Germany fell 4.3% year-on-year to 236,425, affected by the sharp decline in sales of electric vehicles (including pure electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid vehicles).

In May, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen and BMW ranked in the top three in electric vehicle sales. In terms of BEV sales, Volkswagen ranked first with sales of 5,174 units. In contrast, Tesla has lost its former glory, with sales in Germany of less than 1,900 units in May.
