Bosch Appoints New South Korean Business President

          According to foreign media reports, on December 30, Bosch announced that he had appointed Marcello Lusuardi as the new president of the Robert Bosch Korea LTD., from June 2021 to December 2024 as this Alex Drljaca.

 

          From January 1 next year, Marcello Lusuardi will be responsible for the operation of Bosch Group in South Korea, serving as the president of Bosch Korean company and the head of the company’s power solution department.

          Since joining the Bosch Group in 2005, Marcello Lusuardi has held senior leadership positions in many markets such as China, the United States and Germany. He has more than 20 years of experience in the field of mobile travel. He has recently served as the head of the commercial vehicle computing business department of Bosch Germany from 2018 to 2024.

 

          Before the Bosch Group was in office, Marcello Lusuardi worked at the Ferrari-Maserati Group. He has a master’s degree in industry and management engineering at the University of Emilia, Modenley, Italy. Under the leadership of Marcello Lusuardi, Bosch Group will continue to improve the quality of life through its innovative technology and protect natural resources.

 

         In 1985, Bosch opened the office in Seoul. At present, Bosch operates six subsidiaries in South Korea. In South Korea, Bosch produces and supplies car original equipment and automotive component products, industrial automation and mobile machinery products, power tools and accessories, and safety systems. As of December 31, 2023, Bosch had approximately 1,950 employees in South Korea. Bosch’s total sales in the Korean market in the South Korean market in 2023 were 2.02 trillion won (about 1.318 billion euros). In 2023, Bosch Group’s sales increased by 3.8%to 91.6 billion euros; of which, the car and smart travel business were still the highest sales business sector, reaching 56.2 billion euros, accounting for more than 60%of the Group’s sales.
