According to foreign media reports, on June 26, Aston Martin released its new limited edition sports car Valiant, and the company said it will start delivering the new model in the fourth quarter of this year. The British automaker aims to revive its declining sales and achieve positive cash flow growth.

Valiant is a model designed by the Aston Martin team and Formula One driver and two-time world champion Fernando Alonso. The company will only produce 38 units.

A source revealed that the retail price of Valiant in the UK is about 2 million pounds (2.54 million US dollars) excluding tax. Aston Martin revealed that all 38 Valiants have been pre-sold.

Aston Martin has stopped production of old models, and the production of new models will accelerate from the second half of this year, which is expected to drive the company’s revenue and profit growth.

In the past few years, Aston Martin Chairman and majority shareholder Lawrence Stroll has transformed the British brand’s sports car lineup with a number of new models and carried out several capital restructurings, including making Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund a majority shareholder in 2022.

The second half of 2024 will be a real test for Aston Martin and whether it can increase production after some setbacks. The company has encountered some problems in production in the past few years, with the DB12 encountering production problems in November last year and the Valkyrie limited edition sports car also facing delayed delivery and rising costs.
